Intro

After receiving numerous requests for specialized neuroscience and engineering support throughout our doctoral training and into postdoctoral fellowships, NeuralAscension was founded to extend the reach of these skillsets beyond word-of-mouth within the Texas Medical Center and our close collaborators. Our aim is to address a critical gap within the neuroscience and neurotech communities: the need for specialized support in data acquisition, efficient signal processing, embedded systems, data analytics/science/machine learning, mathematical modeling, animal procedures, clinical applications, and more.

We offer solutions with our multidisciplinary team of doctoral-level electrical and computer engineers, neuroscientists with medical training bringing over three decades of combined, hands-on neuroscience research and clinical experience.

Fun Fact: Ran a half-marathon as stress relief during final years of grad school without training and finished at 12-13 min/mi. Also, would lose to James at any run longer than 400 meters and lost repeatedly to Josh in both VR golf and minigolf. Proud parent of two large lagomorphs.

Fun Fact: Successfully got approved as a home renter with 2 dogs and 2 cats and 3 kids. Has no known affiliations with the telescope but is known to gaze off into the stars every now and again.

Fun Fact: Surprisingly good at both VR golf and minigolf. Successfully camped in below freezing whether without having a blanket rated for freezing weather.
